WELL DONE – KIDDERMINSTER NURSERY UNIT
With the help of project co-ordinator, Leah Wooldridge, the staff and children of The Kiddies Day Nursery, Kidderminster unit have been successful in achieving the GREEN FLAG Award.
Recycling has become a way of life, with the children squashing bottles and cans, saving paper, and adding food waste to their compost heap! The nursery cook, Elizabeth has been instrumental in explaining to the children how saving their waste and adding it to the compost heap, can save the nursery the expense of buying soil additives to promote growth in their vegetable garden. The nursery has built up a library of reference and text books for the children to refer to for help and advice on saving – water, rubbish, energy, protecting nature, weather watch and many other areas….. which goes to prove – your never too young to start saving………………………….
